MISSION STATEMENT

Hounds Rugged Wear is the archetype of how we want to be represented. We appreciate all forms of self made creation and applaud those who work with their hands to make their dreams come to life. We’re always working with our hands to create the best content and experiences there is to offer. Rugged wear focuses on a more practical collection of workwear to inspire those to create. We thank Pittsburgh for the blue collar history it has provided us, and we are determined to motivate the rest of the world with our craft.

RUGGED WEAR "PROTOTYPE" COLLECTION

The introductory "prototype" collection featured an in-depth look at the team behind Hounds. This release included a heavy duty Dog Leash in two different colors, brown and black, a rugged Chest Rig made from tough 600D Polyester, and a 1/1 custom Nike Air Force One known as the HF-1 (Hounds Force One).

RUGGED WEAR "COLLECTION 01"

Collection 01 was the first complete collection of Rugged Wear, featuring in-depth looks at Thomas McCloskey (custom home builder), Taylor Kaclik (creative/designer/tattoo artist), Seth Hunter (collector/restorator), Ryan Smith (pizza shop owner), and Cam Brown (barista/photographer). An installation and pop-up was held at Toll Gate Revival, showcasing the hard workers a part of this project and the custom pieces delivered by Hounds. The collection included a heavy duty work apron, heavyweight long sleeve t-shirt, "H" Logo hats, and carpenter pencils.

HOUNDS FORCE ONE "HF-1"

A custom Hounds Nike Air Force One was fabricated in a way to represent the hard work and grittiness that Hounds has to offer. Including barbed wire intertwined with the lace lock, a custom German Shepherd profile stamped on the toes, a Rugged Wear logo stamped on the inner heel, metal lace aglets, and custom shaped metal mesh inspired by fences to cover the orange Nike swoosh. This was a 1/1 work of art, with plans to bring a small release in the future, hence the "Prototype" name for the collection.
